TSW 8008V 8 Port 10/100 VLAN Ethernet Switch

Short for vertical network, a network of computers that behaves as if they are connected to the same wire even through they may actually be physically located on different segments of a LAN. One of the biggest advantages of VLAN is that when a computer is physically moved to another location, it can stay on the same VLAN without any hardware reconfiguration.

Increased Performance
VLAN switched networks by nature will increase performance over shared media devices in use today, primarily by reducing the size of collision domains i.e less traffic will need to be routed thereby preventing the choking of the network.. Improved manageability

VLANs provided an easy, flexible, less costly way to create logical create VLAN groups at the touch of a button.

Increased Security Options
VLANs have the ability to provide additional security not available in a shared media network environment. A Vlan switched network delivers packets only to the intended recipients and not to any other. This network against hackers.

Controlled Broadcast
Activity The broadcast traffic is replicated only on the ports connected to the end-station belonging to that VLAN.

Cost effective
Provides cost effective solution with improved administrative efficiency

Note: Options of 9-port VLAN fiber / UTP interface are also available.
In the VLAN configuration of the switch, the port – 8 is configured as the uplink port. Seven VLAN groups are present in which each port (port-1 to port-7) has access only to the uplink port i.e. only 2 ports in each VLAN group. In this case the uplink port i.e port-8 can send packets to all the other ports, 1 to 7 are restricted to only being able to send packets to port-8. This configuration is specially designed for a scenario in which all the users need to be connected to a server but maintaining privacy among the users

TSW 8024 24 Port 10/100 Ethernet Switch

Telenet’s TSW8024 is a high-performance and cost-effective solution for users to divide their networks into 24 independent network segments. A major advantage is each port provides its own bandwidth. This makes shifting available bandwidths as easy as changing a cable. Each port is further equipped with a Built-In N-Way Auto-Negotiation function that senses for the fastest possible speed (10Mbps to 200Mbps), then automatically sets the port to operate at that speed. This switch is also the perfect Bridge for connecting 100Mbps with 10Mbps segments.

These models offer Plug-&-Play installation and no network configuration is required. A wide assortment of LEDs is provided on the front panel l for real time viewing of Switch and network operations.
