8 PORT DISTRIBUTED MANAGED EDGE SWITCH WITH REVERSE POE & FIBER UPLINK (Model: ES-1008-FX-PE)

8 Port Distributed Managed Edge Switch with Reverse Poe & Fiber Uplink

Telenet's 8-Port 10/100Mbps Distributed Managed Edge Switch is the latest generation of fast Ethernet switching technology. It contains 7 Downlink 10/100Base-TX ports plus one Uplink 100Base-FX port. The Switch uses store-and-forward switching to ensure maximum data integrity. The switch supports auto sensing, Auto-Negotiation and IEEE 802.3x Flow Control standard which eliminate packet loss in heavy traffic conditions. All ports also support auto MDI/MDI-X feature, eases the selection of cable type for devices connectivity and provide a completely flexible high-performance non-blocking full wire speed solution. The management features include port-based, tagged based VLAN,s, per port bandwidth restriction via rate limiting and port security.

Out of these Ports, the last port is configured as Uplink Port and remaining ports act as Downlink Ports. The feature of Port Isolation is implemented in this unit where in the Ethernet Data of the Uplink Port can be transferred to any of the Downlink ports but the individual Downlink ports cannot communicate with each other. Additional features of Rate Limit and Broadcast Storm are also present.

With its built-in Remote Management capability, the switch offers an easy-to-use, Platform-independent management for monitoring. For text-based management, the switch can also be accessed via Telnet and the console port for configuration and monitoring.

Feature:

  • 7-Port 10/100Base-TX interface with auto sensing provide a completely flexible high-performance non-blocking full wire speed solution with 100Base-FX fiber Uplink Port.
  • Supports Auto-Negotiation for speed and duplex mode.
  • Supports Auto-MDIX for each port.
  • The switch supports Max Packet Size of 1536 bytes.
  • The switch supports standard IEEE 802.3x Flow Control to Prevent Packet Loss.
  • Forwarding mechanism – Store and Forward.
  • Port Isolation using Port-based VLAN.
  • IEEE 802.1Q tagging VLAN
  • Port security
  • Support Bandwidth control – From 128k up to Full(100Mbps)
  • Support Broadcast Strom Control
  • Management via Telnet, Web management, and Consol port.
